Goodbye RHW-London, and thanks for a great time!

Dublin

A cold Sunday morning in Dublin after doing The Saturday Night Show there ... Ozzy the horse, with driver John Kennedy, took me and my UK agent Anna Kerslake in a carriage around the city.

I love remembering my London adventures. The last of the photos follow in my next blog. It all seems so long ago! Now I have started filming again on Burn Notice here in Miami.

Love, Sharon

  1. An excellent show. I saw it when in London over Christmas. I am from Australia. I was at a matinee when Jane Juska was in the audience and thoroughly enjoyed the question and answer section. Like to see more of Sharon on film in Australia but never seem to get the shows she is in.

    1. My partner Adam and I also saw the play right before Christmas. It was a great show and a wonderful evening. Sharon was very gracious with her time when she invited us to her dressing room after the play for a visit. It was truly an honor. We have been fans since Sharon was on Switch many moons ago and have followed her career with joy and interest. Thanks again Sharon, and also to Deb, Sharon's assistant, for facilitating our visit backstage.

  3. I was mesmerised by you Sharon. Thank you for spending the time to meet the audience in the Q&A session. I was the one in the bright yellow (BVB logo) jacket with the overly complicated question. Your performance was electric.

  4. I am a fan of Burn Notice and especially love Sharon Hess on the show. I really wanted to say how much I admire her as an actress who looks fabulous and natural. So many women try to alter their looks to look younger, but it only makes them look oddly weird....so way to go Sharon!!!!

  6. Sharon, I was a fan of C&L many years ago but just recently started to watch it again. I am glad it came out on DVD. It made me realize the immense impact it did have with finally having women with real lives in a men's world (in the early 80's of course). I am happy to see that both you and Tyne are still so active in your careers and although I have only just reconnected with C&L I have started to watch Burn Notice. I really do like the show but wonder why the biggest star in the show (meaning you) is not in it more? I have no clue if these blogs are ever responded too or how it works but did watch your biography on YouTube and it was refreshing to hearan actor being so honest about the hardships they faced through out thier personal lives. Thanks for your honesty and have you yet or will you ever be on "Inside the Actors Studio"?

  9. Dear Miss lovely Sharon Gless,
I have to say thank you! Because you had an effect on my life since I saw the first Episodes of Cagney&Lacey when I was a young Teenager. Your character Christine deeply impressed me. And I loved the kind of telling stories, Now, years later, I am a writer for series in german Television. And I often think about the emotion at that time when I saw you in the serie,
Thank you, Miss Gless. I wish you all the best. Lots of Love,
    Moni

  10. Dear Miss Gless:

Have been a huge fan ever since your Cagney and Lacey days. Don't you think its high time some company acquired the rights to reissue this show on Blu-ray and do some restoration work on it. It was and remains 'ground-breaking' TV and such a shame to see it only on lackluster DVD's with faded colors and a lot of other problematic digital anomalies factored in.

If you have any influence with this, I sincerely think it would be well worth your time to pursue it. Little girls, women and guys like me who tuned in regularly to watch you and Miss Daly hit the ground running throughout the 80s are counting on some better days ahead.

Wishing you all the best in all things,

    -NZ
