In October I was invited as Guest of Honor to New Scotland Yard for the annual Metropolitan Police Commendation Ceremony, which awards officers for bravery above and beyond the call of duty. Detective Constable Shane O'Neill - my character Rosie's real-life namesake!! - organized the event.

I had a great time with Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders doing a radio show broadcast on New Year's Day. They loved my play when they came to see it!

I had the greatest time on Gabby Logan's chat show - she was a such pleasure to talk to, and Simon from Blue in the photo with us was also very charming.

One of my favorite days in London was a trip to The Royal Opera House. Barry, Greg and Paul showed us around. It was a really amazing day being back stage rather than on stage, for a change!
Watch out for Part 3 of my adventures ...coming soon!
Love, Sharon
Hello Sharon, Glad to see that you are enjoying your time in London.
ReplyDeleteWe really loved your show and had great front row seats- right by your bed! You and your cast members were excellent.
We were very sorry not to see you after the show at ths Stage Door. I think you had a previous engagement and left by the front, which was a shame.
Hello Sharon, I thoroughly enjoyed your show. I thought the performance by you all was brilliant! Pleased to hear you still have the 'husky' voice!! Enjoyed your Q&A afterwards, and was really pleased when you agreed to meet a few of us after the Q&A.
ReplyDeleteLook forward to your next project.
How about a stage version of Cagney and Lacey?!
Hi Sharon, I just wanted to say that I've been a fan of yours since I was 13 (I was addicted to Cagney & Lacey) and my dream was always to meet you. I live in Seattle but am from Ireland and on a trip home one year, I met Tyne Daly after one of her plays. When I was 21 I pursued acting and swore I would play opposite you one day, lol, dreams are good to have. Anyway, I hope that I get to meet you one day, I've so much admiration for you and have for 30 years xxxx Lorraine

ReplyDeleteLove you in "Burn Notice" and you deserve the nominations for this show. All the actors are deserving and hope this show runs forever! Thank you for mentioning the Heifer Society in a previous blog. I was not aware of this wonderful organization. This Christmas will be special for all of us with gifts of animals! Thank you for sharing with us.
I guess we'll never see your show here in Croatia :)
ReplyDeleteI've been a fan for years.
Love the photo with French and Saunders!
Sharon, I have enjoyed your work for years now, Cagney and Lacey was my all time favorite show. I also loved the tv movie Hardhat and Legs, I always wanted to know the name of the song that was being sung during the closing credits, would you by any chance, know the name of that song? I was very happy to see you in Queer as folks, and now I have to say that Burn Notice is one of my "must watch" shows, I love all the charactors, and of course the setting is fun...looking forward to watching you for many years to come, Thank you for all of your entertainment for many years. I submitted this as anonymous only because that was the best selection offered, but my name is Lauri.
ReplyDeleteSharon, Your character of Michael's Mother in Burn Notice is fantastic. We have collected every issue of every year of Burn Notice for our DVD library. I've been disappointed that I haven't been able to find DVDs of "The Trials of Rosie O'Neill" which was one of my favorite programs to watch in times past. If you could use your special powers to make The Trials of Rosie O'Neill available for purchase, I would be ever so grateful.
